Lol Idk how late this is, everyone has probably voted by now, but I just would like to say a few words, for the site in general. We need something doen, as it's been said in every post so far. But fuck politics at this point, in hindsight honestly I'm not sure an admin election is the greatest idea either.
We took a vote, that we all wanted to keep this sight going, so I think we really need to hammer out our shit. For one thing get the damn event over(which we are doing) and deal out the consequences, that creates plenty of threads to get people back in the habit of coming here. Second though I would like to sit down with everyone, and just have a nice long talk about where we came from where we are, and where we want to go. I mean yeah everyone wants to keep the site going, and we have all these cool ideas to clean up, and make the place shiny, but it's like buying a PoS car. Just cause you change the oil not all our problems are going away. We all like the economy, or the stock market, we burned through too much plot too fast. Anyone notice how right before the time skip was over and we could post all of us were practically begging to get started, it's because we had so much to do. We had a whole year to cover, and make context to, and plans we had, were jacked up. I'm not gonna lie big part of the reason we lost this site Diana and Ethan. Boy were they everywhere, making plot with everyone. Now I don't hold any ill feelings towards either of them, and I'm not saying they were the whole problem. I think we've just become too dependent on other people for real plot. And by plot I'm talking site wide, not necessarily an event, but things that can shake the very foundations of this site. Losing the underworld, the white coats in general, Ezorex . Little backwards list but still.
We have the concern now, and other than London I have seen like one thread related to them. They have potential to be real plot. So does Anemone, or whatever your hearltess's name is Mae(sorry have a headache right now). I mean anyone has the power to build an antagonist, and make it good.
Now let's review real quick. We want a new advert, clean up the forum, maybe design a new skin, have an admin for bio accepting and regulation, one who regulates delyaed posting, have admin come up with plots, rp NPCs, regulate chat. This is a lot of fucking work for four people, even if all 4 had no life. You're talking about a very experienced rper, who knows code design, and has good organizational skills. I can see why bels was brought up, since he is all of these things, but come the fuck on guys. I'm never one to shy away from help, and yes I would ask him for help, but the fact that this was thrown out just shows why we hit the dumps in the first place. We want to have fun and rp, yet we don't want to look at the big picture, and really dig down for some badass plot. Maybe we've gone to far, and just ran out of creative ideas, i don't think so.
Now I'm still a little up in the air about all of this, admin election, and bringing in new people right off the bat. I seriously think we should try considering a reset, whether it be a story reset(which could be very fun), or a total reset(not so fun) and whether we keep our characters the same, or change them. I personally would rather not go for a full reset, and I'm not that happy for a reset in general, but let's face facts here a little. We are talking about bring new characters in with A) The keybladers have no leadership whatsoever right now. So i don't see why too many people would join them. The nobodies and whitecoats are starting to be able to topple gods with how strong they are, and you want to bring fresh rpers into this mess? I'm not saying it's impossible, but we need some major reformatting and cleaning up, my first place would be the keybladers, we need to fix that so the scales aren't so out of whack.
So if we are really dead set on grabbing new people, I believe there are some steps to take. First I would say a three man admin team, to put the bio acceptance back down to two. One admin in charge of bios, along with other duties. Set up mods for each faction. Have combination of mods and admins think up some plot, like instead of just site wide events have some faction based events. I mean if we put more people in charge of doing some work, our admins won't get flooded with shit.
Alright you all know I love to bitch out the admins when I believe they are over stepping boundaries, well i believe we have over stepped ours as players. We blamed the admins for too much, and I think it's time we pulled some weight around here, especially seeing how long most of us have been here. Brian, Motx, Vikenx Xeko I mean you guys were there since the start, you guys know this shit backwards. Me Xiphl Kody Noxy were there for FB, we practically should know this shit backwards. I mean there's 8 people right there who all should be able to take charge in something. Not saying any of you have too, or that you haven't. I'm just trying to reinforce I think mods are a good idea, before we bring some new peeps in.
So if I were elected I would definitely make these points priority, but I am more making these points, because I believe these are what we need, whether I do them, or Xeko, or Xinbar, Or Xiphl's unicorns for all that matter. And that's all I got to say about that.
